School of Design and Media



Introduction

The School of Design and Media (SDM) aims to equip learners with design  and  media  skills  that  are  practical,  realistic  and versatile to meet emerging trends and changing manpower needs of the Creative Industries.
Graduates  will be trained to be industry-ready Creative Craftsman with a real-world portfolio and have a strong design foundation to ensure good career and academic progression.

Key Focus

The School of Design and Media will:
  • Have interdisciplinary design and business programs as core curriculum
  • Teach design as a tool for creating strategic advantage
  • Have students solve contemporary business problems for real clients


Driven by the manpower requirements of the Creative Industries, courses offered meet the manpower needs of the Design (Product & Industrial Design, Fashion & Visual Merchandising, Architecture & Space Design), Media (Communication & Interaction Design, Media & Broadcast Design, Digital Media Design)  and Arts (Arts & Theatre Technology) sectors.
