Skills Evaluation Test
To certify skills of experienced workers, ITE Education Services Pte Ltd conducts Skills Evaluation Test. ITE Skills Evaluation Test (SET) Certificate system was introduced in year 2003 to replace the former Public Trade Test (PTT) system.
SET Certificate Level One certifies the attainment at basic skill level of a worker for the occupational field specified.
SET Certificate Level Two certifies the attainment at skilled level of a worker for the occupational field specified.

Fees


All ITE students are required to pay their course fees and other fees for each term by the stipulated dates. The amount payable varies depending on the course taken.

Note:

1)  On-going PR and International Students admitted prior to AY2013 will also pay new fees but based on existing fee differentiation framework. They would be advised separately by their ITE Colleges.
2)  One term is 6 months.
3)  Registration Fee is a one-time payment.
4)  Fees are subject to revision.
5)  The fee rates are inclusive of GST or after GST subsidy.
6)  Students are required to pay their term fees for all terms by the stipulated dates in order to remain in their course of study. For subsequent terms, students are required to pay their fees through PSEA/GIRO.  It is compulsory for International Students to pay their subsequent term fees through GIRO.  
7)  Full-time International Students studying in ITE are required to purchase a Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance (GHSI). The purpose of the GHSI is to help defray the hospitalisation expenses for International Students in the event that they are hospitalised.
8)  Fees is charged based on Citizenship at the point of term commencement. Students who have officially informed ITE of their Citizenship change to Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident before the term commencement will have their fees adjusted to the Singapore Citizen / Permanent Resident rate for that term. However, for students who inform ITE officially of their Citizenship change to Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident after the term commencement, their fees will be adjusted to the Singapore Citizen / Permanent Resident rate only with effect from the next term.

Fees

Students are required to pay the school fees before the new school term starts.
All Singaporeans are required to submit the MOE Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) Standing Order (SO) form for payment of school fees. The form must be signed by the Student or the Parent/Legal Guardian if the student is below 21 years of age.
All Permanent Residents have to make payment of first term fees via Self-Automated Machine (SAM) / cash payment at Singapore Post Office / NETS or cash payment at the campus, and submit InterBank GIRO (for payment of subsequent fees) at the posted campus.

Submission of Admission-Related Forms

Students who have accepted the offer of admission to ITE College Central must complete the following forms online via the iStudent portal:

1. Student Declaration Forms
2. Student Bio-Data Form

Students also have to complete and submit the following hardcopy forms on the scheduled campus registration day as stated in the posting letter.

National Service (NS) Deferment

Male applicants who wish to pursue full-time ITE courses in 2013 need to check their eligibility for NS Deferment with the Central Manpower Base (CMPB) if you are born in the following years:

• Year 1993 or earlier (for Secondary 4 Express and Secondary 4 Normal Stream students); or

• Year 1992 or earlier (for Secondary 5 Normal Stream students and ITE Graduates seeking progression to Higher Nitec / Nitec courses)

To apply for NS deferment, male applicants must collect the Eligibility for National Service Deferment Forms from the ITE Customer & Visitor Centre @ Ang Mo Kio. These forms must be completed by applicants and endorsed by an ITE staff before submission to CMPB for processing.

Only applicants who (i) have obtained the NS deferment or (ii) have completed their NS will be allowed to enrol in the course. Please bring along the necessary documentary proof for verification during campus registration.




Appeal for Admission

Applicants who did not accept their posted course / rejected their posted course / failed interview / did not respond to interview invitation may appeal for admission for 10 choices of ITE courses, at the campus offering the course of your first choice or through the ITE website.



Appeal for Transfer

Applicants who wish to transfer to another course/campus will have to accept the original course and register at the campus stated in the posting letter first before submitting an appeal. All appeals for transfer must be submitted at the campus indicated in the original posting letter or through the ITE website.



EZ-Link Card and Uniforms

Photo-taking for EZ-Link Cards

Students are required to report at the campus stated in the posting letter in proper attire with a neat haircut to take photo for making of the student EZ-Link card.
Current Nitec students progressing to Higher Nitec are required to register for the extension of your existing EZ-Link card.

Uniform

All full-time students are required to put on the approved uniforms during lessons. Uniforms are available for sale during the campus registration period and after the commencement of new term. In total, there are three different designs (up to two different colours) for students to choose from. The PE attire is of a common design with school-specific coloured stripes. HOW TO APPLY:If you are a school candidate who had sat for the 2012 Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations or a Singaporean/Singapore Permanent Resident with valid Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examination results, please submit your application via Internet at www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/jae. You can log in to apply for courses using your JAE PIN (Form A holders only)/SingPass. If you are a Singaporean/Singapore Permanent Resident with valid Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level Examination results who wish to participate in JAE but do not have a JAE PIN/SingPass, you could submit your application at the MOE Customer Service Centre at 1 North Buona Vista Drive. You have to bring with you your Identity Card, original GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate(s)/Result Slip(s) and Secondary School Report Book/CCA Certificate(s). Dual Certification Course for Higher Nitec in Paramedic & Emergency Care and Nitec in Nursing 
Application for admission to the 3-year and 3-month dual certificate course for Higher Nitec in Paramedic & Emergency Care and Nitec in Nursing is ONLY conducted through the Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) administered by ITE College East for those who possess a passion for wanting to save lives and strong interpersonal, critical thinking and decision making skills.  Applicants who are interested to apply for the course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency and may check directly with ITE College East for more information. Shortlisted candidates have to attend and pass an interview.  Due to the special requirements of the healthcare profession and in the delivery of direct patient care, all applicants have to pass a pre-admission medical examination and be free from physical and mental handicap to ensure suitability. Application for admission to the Higher Nitec in Filmmaking (Cinematography) course is ONLY conducted through the Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) administered by ITE College Central for those who possess a passion for and strong interest in behind-the-scene Filmmaking (Cinematography) works.  Applicants who are interested to apply for the course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. As lifting of heavy equipment is an essential and integral part of the training and assessment requirements, applicants are advised that they should be physically fit to undergo the rigors of the training. Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview.

Higher Nitec in Performance Production
Application for admission to the Higher Nitec in Performance Production course is ONLY conducted through the Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) administered by ITE College Central for those who possess a passion for and strong interest in stage management and technical theatre.  Applicants who are interested to apply for the course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency, hearing deficiency and acrophobia (fear of height) and may check directly with ITE College Central for more information.  Shortlisted applicants have to attend and pass an interview. 

Interested applicants are to complete the application form and submit it to ITE College Central.
 
Higher Nitec in Beauty & Spa Management 
Besides the JAE, ITE College East also conducts a Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) for those who possess a good service mindset, pleasant disposition and good skin complexion and enjoy working in the beauty and spa industry to apply for Higher Nitec in Beauty & Spa Management. Applicants who are interested to apply for the course may check directly with ITE College East for more information. Shortlisted candidates under SAE are required to attend an interview before the final selection. All applicants also have to pass a pre-admission medical examination.

Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Sport Management)
Besides the JAE, ITE College East and ITE College West also conducts a Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) for those who possess a strong sports background and healthy lifestyle mindset to apply for Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Sport Management). Applicants who are interested to apply may check directly with ITE College East and ITE College West for more information. Shortlisted candidates under SAE are required to attend an interview before the final selection.

Higher Nitec in Hospitality Operations 
Besides the JAE, ITE College West also conducts a Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) for those who possess a strong affinity towards customer service and have an outgoing personality to apply for Higher Nitec in Hospitality Operations. Higher Nitec in Visual Merchandising 
Besides the JAE, ITE College Central also conducts a Special Admissions Exercise (SAE) for those who possess a passion for designing window and in-store displays to apply for Higher Nitec in Visual Merchandising. Applicants who are interested to apply for the course may check directly with ITE College Central for more information. Shortlisted candidates under SAE are required to attend an aptitude test and interview before the final selection.

ITE SPECIAL COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCHEME 
The ITE Special College Admissions Scheme (SCAS) provides flexibility for ITE Colleges (ITE College Central, ITE College East and ITE College West) to consider students with special talents and achievements, for direct admission into ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses.  This will provide applicants under SCAS, the advantage of admission into an ITE College and course of their choice.  The scheme will be open for application for admission to courses for year 2014 intakes.

To ensure that students admitted through SCAS will be able to cope with the ITE courses, they are expected to meet the minimum entry requirements (where applicable) of their respective Higher Nitec and Nitec courses based on their GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ level results.  Successful applicants are also expected to pass the colour vision test and/or medical check for admission into selected courses.

For students who are offered a place via their non-academic achievement in the areas of Sports, Performing & Visual Arts and Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, they will be required to contribute in the same CCA or similar CCA offered at their ITE College of study during their 2 years ITE Course.

APPLICATION
Application is open to final-year secondary school students from the Normal (Technical), Normal (Academic) and ‘O’ level streams, as well as past-year secondary school leavers.  Applicants are advised to submit their online application by 26 July 2013, to be considered for admission into the following year's intakes. 
 
Current ITE students are not eligible for this scheme. Students can apply up to a maximum of 3 choices of courses online.  Each ITE College will notify short-listed applicants on the interview dates.
 
 
SELECTION AND OFFER
In selecting the students, ITE Colleges will take into account, their suitability and motivation for admission to the course applied for, based on their CCA records, personal portfolio of achievements and performance at interview.

Final-year secondary school students without their GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ level examination results, and who are selected, will be given a conditional offer of a place in ITE.  Confirmation of admission will be based on students meeting the minimum entry requirements (where applicable) for the selected courses, when the final GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ level examination results are released.  Students, who have applied to more than one ITE College, may receive only 1 offer based on the order of choice.

Application for Returning Singaporeans
Returning Singaporeans with foreign qualifications who wish to apply for ITE full-time courses will need to complete the “Application for ITE Full-Time Courses” form to be submitted together with a photocopy of the following documents (to be translated into English if in other language):

1) Identity card/passport
2) Educational certificates with detailed results/transcripts.

Application for January 2013 and April 2013 Intakes commences on Tue 20 Nov 2012.

The completed application form with the supporting documents should reach the following address by Thu 20 Dec 2012 for January 2013 Intake and Mon 14 Jan 2013 for April 2013 Intake:

Admission is subject to intake places available and based on merit.

 
 
 
ON-GOING ITE STUDENTS
On-going ITE students who wish to seek course transfer to another ITE course are to approach their Class Advisor or Section Head to apply for the transfer and not to submit their application in the intake exercise.
 
ITE GRADUATES
If you have graduated from a full-time Higher Nitec course at ITE and wish to return to do a second full-time Higher Nitec course, you may apply for admission one year after graduation.  For April 2013 intake, you may submit your admission application if you have graduated before 1 May 2012.
 
If you have graduated from a full-time Nitec course at ITE and wish to return to do a second full-time Nitec course, you may apply for admission one year after graduation.  For January 2013 intake, you may submit your admission application if you have graduated before 1 February 2012.  For April 2013 intake, you may submit your admission application if you have graduated before 1 May 2012.
 
NS DEFERMENT
National Service (NS) liable males who wish to pursue full-time ITE courses in 2013 and were born in the year 1993 or earlier  (for Secondary 4 Express and Sec 4 Normal Stream students) or born in the year 1992 or earlier (for Secondary 5 Normal Stream students and ITE Graduates seeking progression to Higher Nitec courses) will have to check their eligibility for NS Deferment at the Central Manpower Base (CMPB). Only those who are eligible for NS deferment will be allowed to enroll in the course.
 
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
ITE will not be admitting International Students with foreign qualifications or private qualifications to its full-time courses.
